Suzanne Vega – An Evening Of New York Songs And Stories (Cooking Vinyl – COOKLP763, 2020)
I’m a long time fan of a Suzanne Vega. While I have much respect for her earlier work, I love her early to late 90s albums, particularly 99.9F°.
I’ve never seen her live, but her 2020 album appears to be a stellar representation of her string of shows at the Cafe Carlyle some years ago. From folk house to cabaret, Vega operates with aplomb in any arena.
I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be interviewing her for my podcast this Friday. If you’d like to submit a question for me to ask her, please head over to the link in my bio and leave a comment. If I choose your question, I’ll be sure to give you a shout out.
